By Kara A. Nash Yes the $33.00 price tag is quite tempting especially to dancers who might not have alot of money to spend.Ballet is expensive and depending on how many classes you take a week it is easy to bust through a few pairs of pointe shoes a month. The Sanshas offer zero support and are poorly constructed.Their "innovative" pointe shoe system is nothing more then some oversized tongue depressors shoved into the shank of the shoe which is supposed to give you the option of dancing on a harder or softer shank.Either way, the shoe is horrible and uncomfortable. My advice would be to save your money and invest in several pairs of quality pointe shoes, some Jet glue and to rotate your shoes and harden them when needed. Unless you want Achilles tendonitis I would not buy Sansha pointe shoes. By Andie Goth (Sacramento, CA) I haven't danced in a few years, the shoes fit me just right. Took a bit to break them in. For the price I paid, its well worth it. All Reviews |
